My name is Noor, 20 years young and grown up between the flower bulbs. For over four generations long our family has been working in the floral industry and that love is something we like to share with you.
I would like to tell you our story, about how we started our webshop and show / cutting garden 8 years ago!
Over the years, de Meulder has shipped bulbs to companies all over the world. The famous logo with the dromedary is known everywhere in the flowerbulb industry.
In 2017, the idea arose between my father and me to not only offer dahlias in bulk, but to start offering them individually through our own webshop.
Through wholesale, flower bulbs and tubers were being sold in large quantities, but we increasingly noticed how popular dahlias were becoming among individual garden enthusiasts. People were searching for unique varieties to lovingly grow in their own gardens. From that need, ILoveDahlia was born: a cheerful, accessible dahlia webshop where we can share our love for dahlias with everyone!
I started helping out in the bulb shed when I was just 12 years old. That’s where I learned to count, sort, and gradually developed a deeper interest in the trade. In the meantime, I built a background in marketing and event management, and about a year ago I decided to join the family business full-time. Since then, I’ve been combining my creativity with my passion for flowers. Besides running the webshop, I also manage our pick-your-own flower garden during the summer months, where visitors can create their own bouquet.
